Running (and walking)

... and other things.

While in Kimberley I started running again, as I had a 5k coming up as soon as I got back to Edinburgh. There's a lovely trail through the woods near Logan's place - I love running through the woods on an unfinished trail. Especially sprinting. Its just so uniquely exhilarating and free.

It didn't hurt that the path was absolutely lovely (if slightly brutally hilly). I also managed to get a bit lost while searching for a mailbox one day and discovered the paved bike path that Logan had been telling me about - though more difficult to get on and off of, the path runs all the way to Cranbrook and is quite nice (there were a lot of bikers on it).

By the time I left the water levels of the creek had gone down quite a bit, though the boil water notice was still in effect as the turbidity level, though technically safe, was expected to fluctuate.

Tool.

I had very good luck with the post while I was home - I had ordered a CD and a shirt to Logan's house (as the Canadian shipping was cheaper than to the UK) - the CD arrived fairly early into my stay, but the shirt arrived on the last possible day before I headed back to Alberta. Then, my new VISA card arrived at my parents the day before I left back to the UK (my old one expired at the end of June). Lucky!

The shirt was from the very cool Geek Studio, as a reward for contributing to her kickstarter so she could start printing shirts. This particular shirt is a reference to one of my favourite TV shows, Supernatural.

I call it "The Mail", and every time I hear people speculate that the Post Office will become obsolete, I just hope it isn't in My day... "KEEP SPRINTING GIRL!!!" I Love You ;-) ;-) ;-)
