Sitting is Nice

So my legs are *really* sore. They were last night, and after I limped around the house this morning, I decided to just kind of chill out for a day, since I need to do quite a bit of walking tomorrow, and really, I don't need to do *everything* right away - I don't start school until the 26th after all, and I am living here for a year.

So here are some more pictures of the flat. Nothing else much to report.

Looking from my room into the hallway. Door to the left is the smaller bathroom (below).

Small bathroom
And very small, windowless kitchen (probably my least favourite thing about the flat). And the washing machine is in the kitchen?

BUT there are two fridges and two freezers, which is pretty awesome.

There is also not a lot of shelving in the kitchen (this is it) and no drawers (WTF? How is this the second place I've rented with no drawers in the kitchen? WHO DOES THAT?)

The living room is really big though, with really nice windows.

Looking back from the window in the living room.

I don't think the fireplace thing works, but w/e.

Looking from the living room door into the hallway. To the right is the front door (just behind me is the door to my third roommate's room - I haven't met him yet, as he is at home in Poland until the end of the month). At the back is the bigger bathroom and the other two bedrooms. My bedroom and the kitchen are to the left.

Hallway from kitchen door. Trying to capture how tall the ceilings are.

Doors to other two bedrooms and the big bathroom.

The larger bathroom, which is quite nice, even if the tub/curtain set up is really strange, and the water pressure is weak.
The landlord came over and I signed my lease and everything, and went to an internet cafe and printed off my ticket for tomorrow! On that note, there may not be a post tomorrow, or if there is, it will be quite late (my time).

  2. Kyra Jensine, It is awesome to hear from You, and to think You are on the other side of the world. Your "flat" looks really homey. I am sure You will enjoy it. I got good news today, in that Chris, Lorry and I will be going to Nashville in November to see Carol get Her award. We go on Tuesday, and return home on Friday of the same week. But that is good; just as long as I get to see Her get Her award. (and "who in the heck is Vince Gill"). Then I guess it is time to save My pennies so I can come to Scotland and see Kyra Jensine graduate. ;-) Much love always, Christine
